Coles County Historical
Society
The Coles County Historical Society is pledged to
preserve for future generations the rich history of Coles County. The CCHS
is charged with preserving for future generations a wide variety of important
historical matters. These include data on important figures - such as
Abraham Lincoln, events - such as the horrific tornado of 1917, and significant
historical factors to the county - such as the railroads. The CCHS is the
entity leading the depot renovation.
